MA Online is a new Internet-based system that will help Sector Skills Councils (SSCs) and Sector Skills Bodies (SSBs) to deal more efficiently with the registration and certification of Modern Apprentices in Scotland.
The development of MA Online has been funded by the Scottish Government and contributes to its aim of improving and streamlining services to provide better value for money.
MA Online embraces the needs of three key stakeholder groups involved in Modern Apprenticeships in Scotland - SSCs / SSBs, Training Providers and Skills Development Scotland. It facilitates greater information sharing and a reduction in bureaucracy.
For SSCs / SSBs, MA Online provides a fast and efficient process, which has been approved by MAG, for the registration and certification of Modern Apprentices in Scotland.
For training providers, MA Online offers a faster turnaround for the registration and certification of candidates and provides more information about the candidates already registered and certificated; this will result in fewer enquires to SSCs / SSBs.
For Skills Development Scotland, MA Online will deliver a reduction in the time and cost of training provider audits.
