ICT SERVICES OFFICER

Head office based – Stoneleigh Park, nr Coventry, Warwickshire
Salary: circa £23,000

Lantra is the Sector Skills Council for environmental and land-based industries. We are looking for a highly organised and well-motivated person to join our team. This is a challenging post with a variety of responsibilities. You will need to be a very special person who communicates excellently and is able to manage their workload efficiently and effectively. You will be involved in providing support services to Lantra's IT users as part of the department's helpdesk. As part of this role you will carry out 1st/2nd line support, in order to solve IT related business problems to a range of users on a wide area network. You will be expected to undertake the installation and configuration of hardware and some software applications and associated activities like asset management. As well as providing support you will be involved in network administration and configuration, an understanding of which would be highly desirable. The role is ideally suited to someone who has excellent customer services skills allied to strong technical IT skills to deal with problems from password resets to PC rebuilds. The successful applicant will have extensive knowledge of IT hardware and software skills - particularly Microsoft (2000/2003, Exchange, XP) operating systems and troubleshooting experience of these technologies. Experience of Citrix, TCP/IP, Active Directory and Helpdesk applications together with internet and database development is also advantageous.
